Content Summary: Hearty thanks for the 'Pictures of the World' which he is sure are vivid. He will read them with interest and pleasure. The idea of first nights is a happy one and he is delighted to think of Scott doing it. Any day from 11 till 3 (except Friday) he will place someone at the service of anyone Scott sends to the Lyceum to facilitate references and have copies made of any matter he would like. They have desperate work to get all ready for Saturday week - but as soon as that is over they'll have a long talk & very many of gin.
