Notes: Mourning paper. This is probably for the first night of 'Cymbeline' on 22nd September. On 16th December 1897 Mrs Braddon wrote to Stoker expressing sympathy with Irving over the death of his dog Fussie who had fallen through a trap door in the stage of the Theatre Royal, Manchester the previous week.
