Content Summary: He was not thinking of a permanent home in England but a couple of years in Warwickshire to finish books. He thanks Irving for thinking of it. Willie, who at 19 is doing well on the stage, came on the Britannic on Friday evening, and speaks of the interview Irving gave him. He encloses a speech and mentions his family, and sends love to Nell [Ellen Terry] whom he will always remember in Stratford Church. He criticises the Life of Tennyson for not doing justice to Irving's plays, and a History of the theatre by Augustin Filon. He hopes to hear good news of 'Peter the Great'.
