Irving will remember the Rede Lecture is announced for Wednesday June 15 at 12 noon in the Senate House. To highlight the occasion they have changed the usual custom and have arranged for the Honorary Degrees to be conferred in the afternoon of the same day at 2.45. The Council of Senate wish to confer on Irving the degree of Litt.D. Between the lecture and the degree he will Invite Irving and the other recipients to lunch in Downing Hall. If Irving could spend the night in Cambridge other arrangements would be made for the evening. Will Irving be able to stay? |
