Content Summary: He sees Irving is to deliver the Rede Lecture at the University of Cambridge in a few days. For the last 30 years he has reported these to London and Prov[incial] dailies and the lecturer has invariably lent him his ms. a day or two before so he can prepare his report having promised no premature disclosure. It is more important to receive this that year as the Honorary Degrees are to be conferred on the day of the lecture, with the Public Orator's introductions to be sent. Would Stoker consult Irving and let him know the result as soon as possible. Since he communicated with Stoker he has had severe illness and lost his wife who was at the Lyceum only 3 months before her death.
