Content Summary: Advice on dress and travel. Morning dress (frock coats) for lectures and other Senate House ceremonies. When delivering the Rede lecture Irving should wear his Doctor of Dublin University robes. The same dress is worn under the scarlet gown when receiving the new degree. Travel times: St Pancras 9.15 arrives 10.41. A carriage will meet train and he will arrange a quiet time for Irving on arrival.

Content Summary: Can she revive past memories by seeing Irving in 'Louis XI'. Last time she saw it in Manchester when she was staying at H.B. Peacock's house in Stretford. At the end of Irving's lecture will he read the enclosed which is very dear to her and give it back when she sees him. She asks for an interview when she can return her lend loan - a debt of honour. She also has a souvenir of Charles Mathews she wishes Irving to have. She goes to Margate for 3 months because of her troublesome health.
