Content Summary: Thanks Sir Spenser heartily for his letter which he should have answered sooner but for pressure of work. Sorry to break the association but it is a relief to Irving to get rid of the responsibility of the theatre all the year round. By his new arrangements he will play first all the time he wants and will be able to take his tours unhampered by the responsibility of the theatre on his back. He hopes Sir Spenser will come to 'Robespierre' one night.
