Loveday tells him there were six lessons - he wishes it had been sixteen. Vezin did the man good and he progresses and could play the Dauphin but is too girlish in appearance for the part Irving intended. He must have been regarded as an infant prodigy to play the parts he did in America. Two or three of Irving's audience have written that he might be a woman dressed up. He is a nice earnest young fellow and Irving is now enthusiastic. He hopes all is well with Vezin. (Postscript:) Cheque enclosed. |
