Content Summary: Much concerned with Irving's beard as Coriolanus. Prefers a young, tiny beard to a shaven face. People like to see Irving's face but he looks younger with a beard even though he still looks like an old senator amongst the youngsters! He suggests that the senators should have white wigs, or bald heads plus big beards to make them look venerable. Tells story of the Gauls taking Rome. Will see Irving that night at 7p.m. May he have 'Moonlight' and 'The House of Marcus' for exhibition at the Royal Society of Watercolours?
