What a touching ending to Act 3 when Shylock comes home to find his daughter gone. He hopes Irving will enjoy his holiday and they may all meet in December.

Content Summary: She has had legal business in London - nothing pleasant and they have come there with a large and noisy lot of trippers on whom she comments unfavourably. She is keeping 31st disengaged. She refers to Sir Robert and her two sisters and describes the tall ships passing the Nore light, but not the Walrus. With the tide up it is pretty and she longs to feel the movement of the water.
