Content Summary: Irving's letter has given Sala great pleasure and he has preserved it. He praises 'Romeo and Juliet' as an artistic triumph. He thought hard over his criticism in the 'Illustrated News'. He asks for a box for Monday so Mrs Sala can see it. He asks Irving and Ellen Terry to support a midnight entertainment either at the Mansion House or Grosvenor House in aid of the Women & Children's Hospital in the Waterloo Road. Ellen Terry should do Portia's mercy speech. Sala will give his 20 minute lecture 'Down among the Mormons, or Life in Salt Lake City'.
