Notes: Creswick had heard Irving recite as a schoolboy and recognised his talent. In the Lyceum production, which opened on 11th October Sam Johnson played Dogberry, and this may refer to a benefit performance. George was H.J. Loveday's brother and worked for J.L. Toole.
