| Content Summary: |
Irving is both amazed and disgusted at Wilson's last letter. He was under the impression he had treated Wilson with considerable liberality in sending £5. This he would not have done except as a matter of some sentiment after receiving the posters and bills after such a lapse of time. As for the printing bill not being paid the statement is untrue and a slur on his character. Irving is sorry that there should be such a result from a beginning he had hoped was of mutual kindliness but he can only now regard it as a 'try-on'. |
