He was again by mistake too late for the big philosophic speech, thinking it was at Queen's, and too late although he hurried down Bow Street. He saw Salvini, and allowing for a bad 5th Act for which he blames the translator, with some criticism says he stands next to the grand Edmund Kean. Leave a word for him at the Garrick in case he cannot see Mr Hurst before his last night of leisure. |
