He sends Mr Serle's markings as he claimed his arrangements were always a success. He has altered the beginning of the Gate House scene to mention Wyeth as Irving wished and a few passages to please himself. If Mrs Bateman does not wish to have it performed nor does he, but he expects Irving to send instructions.

Notes: Typewritten transcript. Addresed to "Mr Irvine". Thomas J. Serle was a popular dramatist of the previous generation. There is also an exchange of letters between Tennyson and Mrs Bateman in December about the adaptation and production of 'Queen Mary'.
