Halswelle has nearly finished two [?] oil pictures besides other designs. Followed Irving's ideas very closely. Offers Irving the chance ,"as brother artists" to use or reproduce without any cost to Irving. Halswelle will be well-paid by Grosvenor or New Gallery besides it is a labour "con amore" for William Shakespeare and Irving. Has studied the play [Macbeth] for some nights very carefully. They can talk over a cigar. Gives times of train from Waterloo to Petersfield. He will ask R.H.Wyndham to meet Irving at the station. Dinner at 8 o'clock.
