Aveling wrote Orridge (?) with Irving in mind. This with the previous evening at Lyceum prompts him to ask Irving to buy the play as Irving and Ellen Terry have read it. It would wipe off all Aveling's debts. Does not know how much he owes but will sell to cancel all debts plus additional £10. He can settle landlord and redeem wife's typewriter.
