Address: [Liverpool?]
Date: 1887, Oct., 9
Document Type: Letter (4 p.)
Content Summary: He has asked Mr Parkinson, Mr Loveday & Mr F. Tickhall(?) to arrive on Sunday at 7. He presumes Stoker is arranging a special train to bring Irving and his friends in the afternoon as there is no regular train arriving before 8 pm. A train leaves Liverpool (North Western) 11.30 am Sunday morning reaching Rugby (Rugeley?) at 2.15 pm. If they are given a special train from Rugby to Leamington they will drive from Leamington or they might give a special train from Blisworth to Stratford. Flower would prefer the drive from Leamington. Let him know what is arranged and who are engaged at the Red Horse. (Postscript:) Private. He has not asked Mr Clement Scott as it would not be a pleasure for either of them. He will try to arrange elsewhere for him & Mr Bancroft.
Published: -
Notes: Difficult to read. Arrangements for the unveiling of the Drinking Fountain presented by the American G.W. Childs to Stratford-upon-Avon on 17th October. The train service was poor on Sundays, and Blisworth station in fact closed.

Document Type: Letter (1 p.)
Content Summary: He sends the papers Stoker wished for. He has added an account of the supper from proof sheets of the half-crown edition of their book.

Notes: The book is 'Mr. & Mrs. Bancroft on and off the stage, written by themselves' first published in 1888 with a cheaper one volume edition in 1889. This does not include the supper given to Bancroft by Irving and J.L. Toole on 27th July 1885, so the letter probably refers to the 1883 supper to Irving at the Garrick Club organized by Bancroft.
