Content Summary: Doyle has made a little melodrama from Sherlock Holmes and put it in hands of Addison Bright, 89 Comeragh Rd, W. Kensington as agent. He has approached Beerbohm Tree but nothing is arranged. Doyle has told Bright that Irving has shown interest, so if there is a hitch Bright will send Irving a copy.

Toole was to tour Australia. The envelope which may have contained this and the other invitations, addressed to Bram Stoker at the Lyceum Theatre, and dated 16th December 1889, is filed at RL2/8/478.

Unfortunately none of them flourished and cannot function without large capital and strong patronage. Content Summary: Lord Coleridge wishes him to tell Irving that he hopes he will attend a meeting of the Marlowe Memorial Committee in his rooms at the Law Courts the next Friday, 18th April. Lee gave Lord Coleridge Irving's suggestion of Onslow Ford, and Coleridge then communicated with Ford, who puts himself at the Committee's service. Ford would meet Coleridge at the Law Courts after the meeting the next Friday. Lee encloses a circular he has prepared for immediate circulation in Canterbury. As soon as the reading Irving has promised approaches they will send a more particular announcement.
