Content Summary: Thanks for copy of 'Acting as an Art'. It will make valuable impression after years of depression have affected the theatre, but principal theatres in New York have survived. Prices raised from 1.5 to 2 dollars have reduced audiences but raised more money. Réjane with French company in good programmes has not done well and Beerbohm Tree has disappointing business. Porter looks forward to Irving in the new year . Times are better and Irving will have as good or better success than before. Best wishes to Ellen Terry and Bram, love for Irving.
