Date: 1901, March, 14
Document Type: Letter (2 p.)
Content Summary: She reminds Irving of her dead husband, who is in the DNB and was a notable dramatist who wrote plays to order for actors. The accompanying play was written for Mr Wallack who died before it was ready. Her husband would not offer it to anyone else, as none could do justice to Frederick. She is not of the theatrical world but does not want the play to be lost. She would like any profit to go to the Actor's Benevolent Society. She would like Irving to produce it, but if not, could he find a home for it? She asks this to keep her husband's memory green.

Content Summary: He thanks her for letting him read her husband's charming little play. He would be delighted to do it himself if he got an opportunity, or he would see someone else took it on. The only way would be for him to purchase the play by sending a cheque for £100 for the rights and she could hand it or part to the Actors' Benevolent Fund in memory of her illustrious husband. The play is charming and it would be a real pleasure to act in it.
