Content Summary: Since he has not heard he supposes the projected luncheon was difficult to arrange. Since he saw Knight he has been so ill that friends have persuaded him to leave town. As he may not see Irving he is uneasy about the advance of £100 which has not been repaid. Irving had told Knight to defer this. Does Knight think Irving would mind if he paid it into Irving's account at Coutts or would Irving prefer to receive it from Knight? Marston could bring it to his home early one evening. He has written to dear Toole saying Knight said he had refused repayment of his £100, to be regarded as contribution to the Fund. He thinks this is what Knight advised but he is getting so deaf that he misses much of what is said to him. He asks for a line as to Irving...
