Content Summary: Must sacrifice pleasure of seeing Irving that morning. He has a cold which the hot theatre would maximise. He must stay at home for two days as he has three important engagements next week and wants particularly to sing for the Fund. Herbert is very vexed but will come with a friend. Reeves wants to come to last night so Herbert will ask Mr Hurst. He is more than vexed but his whole life has been a sacrifice to his profession.
