Content Summary: Irving had said to him recently at the Garrick Club he might consider an invitation from Bristol University College to deliver an address on their behalf at Clifton during the year. Arrowsmith informed a meeting of the Council of this the day before. They would be glad if Irving would comply to their request, to be made formally if he requires through their President Dr Percival, Bishop of Hereford or the Chairman Albert Fry. Irving could select the date and would be warmly welcomed by Bristolians and Cliftonians. He sends the College Calendar, p.18 listing the Council. He hopes Irving is fairly well again.

Content Summary: Will Irving say exactly where he would like 'The Story of Waterloo' to appear on the programme. They think it should come between 'The Vicarage' and Wyndham comedietta. Others think as the "pièce de resistance" it should be last, keeping the audience at fever heat. Irving can decide at his leisure. The house was almost sold out the first day (at treble ordinary prices) and they have to decide whether the pit should be reserved. (Postscript:) Just telegraph stating wishes.
