Date: 1881 [1891], April, 27
Document Type: Letter (3 p.)
Content Summary: He was going to write on another matter, and not 'The Corsican Brothers' which was not of current interest. Thanks for her note about the fees, for he had mistakenly thought his agreement of £40 with Mrs Kean 12 years before allowed him to play the piece whenever he wished. He will gladly buy rights again for £40 but as he can only give the play for a few weeks he would like to include the next revival, with a future right to renew for the same sum. 'The Corsican Brothers' requires special production and conditions and can be seldom put on, nor regarded as regular repertoire.

Notes: A copy. Previous correspondence about rights with Cosmo Gordon Logie was in 1881.
