Content Summary: Even if he has not left cards at Grafton St, Irving is constantly in his heart and mind. He hears news through common friends that Irving is mending quickly. When he returns he may want to spare himself fatigue. Pinero will be free from his responsibilities to [John] Hare by the end of February and will be glad to help Irving rehearse his new production. He suggests what he could do - thanks in part to what he learned from Irving. No need to reply unless Irving needs a lieutenant. (Postscript) His memory of Cyrano is good if Irving returns to that play.

He would like to see Pinero if he came that way but knows how busy he is on Hare's authority. He would like to see Pinero - in town if not before. His heart is full of Pinero's kindness.
