The Committee would like Irving to accompany them but of course this is impossible. They are to present a bronze bust of Shakespeare by the late William Page, President of the New York Academy, based on a study of the Darmstadt death mask.The presentation will be made in the Memorial Theatre by Sir W[illia]m P. Treloar to Edgar Flower. Sir Arthur Hodgson will be present. Mr Page's family wish for Irving's presence; but perhaps he could send a letter to be sent to the American papers.
