Address: -
Date: [1897], [June?] Wed[nes]day
Document Type: Letter (4 p.)
Content Summary: Bad news the day before - he hopes that day brings better. No one knows where she is. He is thinking of a 3 month tour of '[Madame] Sans Gêne' if he can let the Lyceum. If possible it would make money with a week in each town. He would still re-open with 'Sans-Gêne' although not very profitable, but if tour were arranged they might be ready to begin on something new at once if the other did not do. He will be glad when the next day comes. 'Sans-Gêne' with Miss Kingston is like 'The Bells' with [F.H.] Macklin - asking a "Leetle" too much. Dear love.
Published: -
Notes: Signed with a version of Irving's cross with a larger circle. Ellen Terry was ill, and her part in 'Madame Sans Gêne' was taken by Gertrude Kingston.
