Notes: Addressed to her as Miss Raphael, her real name. At their Cromer meeting Irving lent her the French version of Savonarola translated by Laurence Irving which does not seem to be recorded. She lent him photographs of the German actor Paul Wiecke, 1862-1944, as Hamlet and Johannes. Her address is taken from a large envelope in his hand, but with a blurred date, so it may not have contained these photographs

Money in Bank of Amsterdam had better be paid into London County. He leaves there the next day and will be at Sandringham Hotel, Hunstanton, Norfolk till next Tuesday (4th) then Manor House Hotel, Leamington till 7th then Stratton St 3 days (8th-10th) then Cliftonville Hotel, Margate. Has settled nothing about play in April but it lies between a new play by Angus Gordon & 'Rienzi'. Hopes they are having a good time. Weather settled but has been rough. Encloses cheque for £100.

Although not a believer in psychological phenomena last night he dreamed he was in the stalls of Irving's performance in Manchester, and was astounded by his power.
