Several vague ideas about theatres - Drury Lane? Probably Musgrave will call on Tuesday. If Kinloch Cook also calls he would like Stoker to see him. If 'Company'(?) choose per centage important it should be for 6 performances, matinées not included. Important that any 'models' coming to Lyceum be looked after. Better to send them there. Telegraph fully [working?]. |

| Notes: |
This seems to date from after Irving left the Lyceum. The agreement for 'Dante' to be performed at Drury Lane was proposed and signed in August 1902. The 'models' are probably set designs. |

| Content Summary: |
He dined the previous night with Chas.Scotter, Director of S.W.R[ailwa]y who suggested it might be well to do something for the shareholders who joined on the inducement of Irving's name, for all their sakes, and the preservation of the theatre. If liabilities could be wiped off, £50,000 raised, the County Council work carried out and the theatre redecorated with an invitation to Irving to undertake management, he would be inclined to accept under the conditions they talked over. Show this to Stoker. |

Thanks for the book. He was going to write. Can Stoker arrange an interview with Irving for them on the end of the Lyceum Theatre, his own plans, &c? |

| Notes: |
The writer's name is difficult to interpret but has been wrongly identified as Walter Leaf. Vesty may be incorrect. Stoker's book is probably 'The Mystery of the Sea', 1902. |
