Notes: In 1902 Irving was recalled from Tintagel to attend the coronation of Edward VII which was postponed until 9th August from 26th June. Negotiations began with Tom Buffen Davis the manager of the Adelphi Theatre, but Irving's company went instead to Drury Lane. Bram Stoker's tale 'The Mystery of the Sea' was published in 1902.
