Irving went from Belfast to Sandringham on 13th November after performing in 'Faust', played Corporal Brewster in 'Waterloo' before the King and Kaiser on 14th, and returned to Belfast in time to play again on the evening of 15th. It was remarked that he took time on the journey to telegraph his old friend.
