Content Summary: She has been to see Irving as Othello & Edwin Booth as Iago. Congratulations on presenting Othello as swarthy and not as an Ethiopian. The word black seems to stick in the throat of actors. She wishes to make a suggestion. Moors had shaven heads under their turbans which could not be worn with a mass of hair. It was incorrect when Irving removes his turban to show long hair, a characteristic of Frankish and Jewish races. She spoke to Mr Knowles who suggested she should tell Irving.
